Alabama has amended Insurance Regulation Chapter 482-1-159, which governs the Strengthen Alabama Homes (SAH) program.

Among other provisions, the rule was amended to require certain homeowners who have retrofitted their homes to the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) FORTIFIED Roof™ or an IBHS successor designation to submit a certificate to their insurance provider to receive wind mitigation credit.
