Arizona Issues Homeowners Insurance Wildfire Data Call

    Mar 25, 2026 / by AAIS

The Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (DIFI) has issued a Homeowners Insurance Wildfire Data Call to collect transactional-level data for homeowners insurance policies issued in heightened fire risk areas designated by the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management.

Insurers are required to report to the Director of DIFI on an annual basis for calendar years 2025 and 2026. Each insurer must report each homeowners policy it had in force during the reporting year including, but not limited to, the date the policy was issued or renewed, if the policy was newly issued or renewed, and, if the policy was nonrenewed or canceled, the date the policy terminated. The data call provides templates and data elements that are to be submitted by July 15, 2026.

Please see the Homeowners Insurance Wildfire Data Call for more information. For any questions regarding the data call, please contact Tom Zuppan, Data Analytics Manager, at Data_Analytics@difi.az.gov.
