On April 21, 2026, the Connecticut Insurance Department (CID) issued a notice to remind insurers and surplus lines brokers to submit an annual Healthy Homes Fund Remittance Report along with the required surcharge to the CID.

As outlined, the notice states that a $12 surcharge is required to be assessed annually on certain insurance policies. The Remittance Report Form attached to the notice must be submitted with the surcharge payment no later than April 30, 2026, and annually thereafter. Insurers that fail to remit such surcharges by the annual due date may be subject to fines.
