Florida Requires Biweekly Hurricane Ian Catastrophe Reporting Through December

On November 30, 2022, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) issued a notice to the industry regarding its data call related to Hurricane Ian catastrophe claims.

The OIR is requiring biweekly simplified catastrophe reporting through the month of December. The reporting deadlines for December are as follows:

  • Wednesday, December 7, 2022
  • Wednesday, December 21, 2022

Data must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. ET for each reporting deadline. Insurers are to report Hurricane Ian claims data using the 2022 Catastrophe Reporting Form (CRF) through the Insurance Regulation Filing System (IRFS). Further information and instructions are outlined within the OIR's notice.
