Jun 27, 2024 / by AAIS

On June 18, 2024, the Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) issued Bulletin 2024-01 to all property and casualty insurers, providing notification and guidance on reporting requirements relating to homeowners insurance policies issued in Louisiana.

The Bulletin requires all insurers to submit the Homeowners Insurance Policies Data Calls through the POIDRS module in the Industry Access Portal, accessible through the LDI's website. All insurers are required to submit an initial report detailing all homeowners insurance policies in place for at least three years on or before August 1, 2024. Submissions are due on or before September 30, 2024.

A second report requires all insurers to update the number of and reason for cancellations or nonrenewals of all homeowners insurance policies in place from August 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024. This report must be submitted on or before February 1, 2025. Subsequent reports must be submitted on a quarterly basis as outlined in the schedule provided.

Please see Bulletin 2024-01 for more information. For any questions regarding the Bulletin, please contact the Deputy Commissioner for the Office of Property and Casualty at 3yruledata@ldi.la.gov or 225-342-5203.
