Missouri Issues Multiple Bulletins

The Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance has issued multiple bulletins. Please see the below summaries and links for each one.

 

Insurance Bulletin 25-05

 

On June 12, 2025, Insurance Bulletin 25-05 was issued regarding the waiver of mandatory holdbacks for structures that sustained 50% or more damages following the May 16th St. Louis tornado.

 

Effective immediately, the City of St. Louis has waived the mandatory claim holdbacks ordinance for properties in specified zip codes. For the properties mentioned above, insurers should remit all payable amounts directly to the insured.

 

Insurance Bulletin 25-06

 

On June 16, 2025, Insurance Bulletin 25-06 was issued to notify insurers that have written or issued personal residential property and/or comprehensive private passenger automobile insurance of a limited data call to collect information relating to sever weather events in 2025.

 

The data call request information regarding claims resulting from severe weather in the state in 2025. The bulletin provides the instructions for completing the data call. The first report is due by June 25, 2025, with other due dates provided in the bulletin. For any questions regarding the data call, please contact Statistics@insurance.mo.gov.
