On December 30, 2024, the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance (DOBI) issued Order No. A24-09 regarding the submission of underwriting guidelines for homeowners and private passenger automobile policies.

All authorized property and casualty insurers with homeowners policies were required to submit copies of their homeowners underwriting guidelines, as well as any changes made between October 15, 2024, and December 31, 2024. Additionally, insurers with homeowners or private passenger automobile policies in force on the date of the order should continue to submit any changes made to their underwriting guidelines between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025, within five days of implementation.
