On July 22, 2023, the Pennsylvania Insurance Department (PID) issued a notice to conduct its 2022 Private Passenger Automobile Data Call. The PID issued this data call in order to monitor the private passenger automobile insurance marketplace in Pennsylvania. 

The data call has three parts, each with respective response deadlines of October 16, 2023:

1. Companies with Pennsylvania private passenger automobile direct written premium in 2022 are required to complete parts 1 and 2. 
   
   
2. Companies with no Pennsylvania private passenger automobile direct written premium in 2022 are only required to do part 2. 
   
   
3. In terms of Pennsylvania private passenger automobile direct written premium, the 20 largest insurance companies, and a few other selected companies, will need to complete part 3.
