    Tennessee Enacts Senate Bill 1667

    Jun 9, 2026 / by AAIS

Tennessee has enacted Senate Bill 1667 which, among other provisions, requires auto liability insurers to use the Insurance Industry Committee on Motor Vehicle Administration (IICMVA) model, unless noted otherwise. Additionally, insurers must submit a full book of business on a weekly basis to the Department of Revenue. This report must include the vehicle identification number of each insured vehicle and the insurer’s NAIC code, as well as the policy number and effective date of each policy. The report may be submitted electronically or through another acceptable means of transmission. The bill also establishes that beginning January 1, 2027, and ending December 31, 2028, the Department of Commerce and Insurance is required to issue a data call to insurers every six months for aggregated data on auto liability policies issued and cancelled within 60 days due to policyholder request or failure to pay the premium.
