Florida has amended Rule 69O-137.008 to update the link to Form OIR-B1-588 and change the corresponding effective date to 6/26. Insurers authorized to transact any of the specified lines of insurance in the state must report their individually rated risks and excess rates to the Office of Insurance Regulation using Form OIR B1-588. This form must be filed electronically at floir.gov/iportal within 45 days of the closing of each quarter. A separate report must be completed each quarter, even if no individually rated risks or risks subject to excess rates have been written in the period.

On May 29, 2026, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation issued a Notice to Industry to inform insurers of the 2026 Catastrophe Reporting Form (CRF) in preparation for the Atlantic Hurricane Season, which began on June 1, 2026.
Florida has amended FAC 69O-170.0155, which, among other provisions, updates the titles and revision dates of forms as well as adds instructions for insurers regarding the submission of form OIR-B1-1802.
Florida has adopted modifications to FAC 19-8.029. The rule was amended to update references to the forms used for insurer reporting requirements and responsibilities. The corresponding links to each form have also been updated.

Florida Issues Memorandum Regarding Wind and Water Claims and NFIP Data Call

On February 20, 2025, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (FLOIR) issued an informational memorandum containing guidance on wind and water claims and also requiring all residential property and casualty insurers to report information regarding the National Flood Insurance Program's (NFIP) claims handling process and NFIP Write Your Own Program (WYO) policies.
Florida has amended Rule 19-8.029 to update certain revision dates for data calls and loss reporting forms for insurers that participate in the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (FHCF). Additionally, companies required to reimburse the FHCF for costs are liable for interest on the amount owed. The applicable interest rate for interest charges will be the average rate earned by the State Board of Administration for the FHCF for the six months preceding the start of the contract year. For balances paid after the invoice due date, interest will accrue at that same rate plus five percent.
