On January 7, 2026, the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) issued a post-flood data call relating to the December 2025 atmospheric river weather event.

The instructions issued by the OIC state that all authorized and unauthorized property and casualty insurers that had a loss associated with the specified weather event are required to submit responses. The instructions provide information on how to complete and submit the corresponding worksheets that can be found on the OIC website. A reporting schedule is also provided in the instructions. The first report is due January 21, 2026.
