On June 27, 2025, the Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) issued Bulletin 2025-04 to give insurers early notification and guidance on potential claims reporting requirements for the 2025 hurricane season.
The bulletin provides guidance on how insurers must submit claims data for potential data calls relating to named storms or hurricanes. An example Excel spreadsheet for data call submissions is attached to the bulletin and will be posted to the LDI's website. For each named storm or hurricane that requires a data call, a separate directive outlining specific requirements will be issued.
