Louisiana DOI Revises Market Data Reporting Requirements

Written by AAIS | May 7, 2026

On May 5, 2026, the Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) issued Directive 204 (Revised and Reissued) to update guidance on reporting requirements related to residential property and private passenger automobile insurance.

All property and casualty admitted insurers and surplus lines insurers are now required to submit Market Data to the LDI annually, rather than on the previous quarterly basis. The first annual report must include all data for the 2026 calendar year and is due by February 28, 2027.  Reports will continue to be due annually by February 28 thereafter.

The directive outlines the required reporting data elements as well as submission instructions.

Please review Directive 204 (Revised and Reissued) for complete details.  Questions regarding the directive may be directed to the LDI Actuarial Services, Office of Financial Solvency at 225-342-4690 or POIDRS@ldi.la.gov.
