On March 27, 2026, the Minnesota Department of Commerce (Department) issued Administrative Bulletin 2026-2 to remind insurers writing homeowners insurance in certain areas of their requirement to file a report.
The bulletin states that each insurer writing homeowners insurance for property located in the seven county metropolitan area or a city of the first class, which are defined within the bulletin, is required to submit Homeowners Insurance Reporting requirements on or before May 1. A link to the Department's website is provided within the bulletin and contains instructions, templates, and attestation forms for these reports.
