On May 13, 2024, Mississippi enacted Senate Bill 2130. This bill establishes that a homeowners' insurer who has issued a policy or binder on a residential structure shall not cancel the policy or binder, or deny coverage, based solely on the age of the structure's roof.
The bill applies to homeowners' policies issued or renewed on or after July 1, 2024.
