Missouri has amended 20 CSR 100-8.040 Insurer Record Retention, specifically section (6), to state that an insurer should provide any record or material requested by any examiner or written response to any inquiry submitted by an examiner within the number of calendar days specified in the request, which should not be less than 30 calendar days. However, insurers are encouraged to respond to inquiries as soon as a response is available. If the requested information is not provided within the specified timeframe, such failure will be deemed a violation against the insurer unless certain conditions are met.
Please see 20 CSR 100-8.040 Insurer Record Retention for more information.
