On January 30, 2026, the New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance (OSI) issued a Revocation Order to revoke multiple emergency orders relating to the Salt and South Fork Fires.
Insurers are directed to make reasonable efforts to assist policyholders by informing them of the provisions in the Revocation Order and are expected to document their outreach. Additionally, insurers should allow a minimum of 12 months for repayment of insurance premiums if needed by the policyholder. The order goes into effect on March 31, 2026.
Please see the Revocation Order for more information.
