    On August 13, 2026, Indiana Governor Braun declared a statewide disaster emergency following recent severe weather that began on August 11, 2026, and continued for days after. On August 17, 2026, the Indiana Department of Insurance issued Bulletin 280 to all insurance companies to request a moratorium for any policyholder affected by the severe weather.
