On February 1, 2024, the California Department of Insurance (CDI) issued Circular: ZET-2024 (Part 1) to all licensed property and casualty insurers writing Commercial Auto Liability/Physical Damage Insurance regarding a Zero Emission Truck Data Call. This is part one of a two part survey and will focus on insurance offerings, loss experience, vehicle coverage, policy details and coverage limits for Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks that transport cargo, as defined by the State Air Resources Board.

On September 14, 2023, the California Department of Insurance (CDI) issued Bulletin 2023-6 which announced a mandatory moratorium on cancellations and non-renewals in response to the declaration of a state of emergency. The moratorium prohibits any admitted or non-admitted insurer writing residential property insurance in the state of California from issuing a notice of cancellation or non-renewal for one year, starting on August 29, 2023 in affected ZIP codes. 

On November 28, 2022, the California Department of Insurance (CDI) issued Bulletin 2022-15 regarding a mandatory moratorium on residential property insurance policy cancellations and non-renewals after the declaration of a state of emergency.

On January 30, 2023, the California Department of Insurance (CDI) issued Bulletin 2023-1 related to the increase in private passenger motor vehicle financial responsibility requirements, pursuant to Senate Bill 1107.

On February 27, 2023, the California Department of Insurance (CDI) issued its 2023 Annual Notice describing the most significant California laws pertaining to property insurance policies, including those related to a declared state of emergency.

On November 28, 2022, the California Department of Insurance (CDI) issued Bulletin 2022-15 regarding a mandatory moratorium on residential property insurance policy cancellations and non-renewals after the declaration of a state of emergency.
