On November 14, 2022, the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance (DOBI) issued Bulletin No. 22-09 regarding compliance with P.L.2022, c.87 (the “Act”), which was enacted through Senate Bill 481 and went into effect on August 5, 2022. The Act amended existing law to increase the minimum limits of liability, uninsured motorist and underinsured motorist insurance coverage that must be provided in automobile insurance policies issued in the state of New Jersey.
