Iowa Issues Proclamation of Disaster Emergency for Harrison County

On March 27, 2025, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds issued a Proclamation of Disaster Emergency for Harrison County in response to severe storms and weather that occurred on March 19, 2025. 

 

Proclamation No. 2025-12 activates Iowa Bulletin 24-03, which advises insurers to take the following actions: implement cancellation grace periods, extend claims handling deadlines, issue letters of declination for FEMA, and avoid invoking contractual provisions that prohibit payment of recoverable depreciation.

 

This proclamation will remain in effect until April 26, 2025.
