On January 8, 2026, the Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) issued Bulletin 2026-02 to provide clarification on the first annual reporting period pertaining to premium discounts for commercial motor vehicles using dashboard cameras with telematic systems.

Each admitted insurer authorized to issue commercial motor vehicle insurance must submit an annual report to the Commissioner by March 1 of each year. The bulletin describes the information that is to be included in each report. The first annual report is due March 1, 2027.
