On June 18, 2026, the Louisiana Department of Insurance enacted Emergency Rule 50. Among other provisions, this rule suspends certain cancellations, terminations, nonrenewals, premium payments, claim filings, and related provisions in lieu of Tropical Storm Arthur and its aftermath. The rule outlines the parishes and lines of insurance to which it is applicable. Emergency Rule 50 will remain in effect until July 22, 2026, unless the Commissioner of Insurance ends it earlier.
Please see Emergency Rule 50 for more information.
