On March 21, 2025, the Louisiana Department of Insurance issued Directive 226 regarding Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (LCPIC) emergency assessments.
This directive gives authorized property and casualty insurers 30 days to update their systems to comply with current procedures that address the imposition and collection of emergency assessments levied by the LCPIC. Insurers that fail to comply could face administrative action.
