On April 17, 2024, the Maine Bureau of Insurance (MEBOI) issued Bulletin 473 in regards to adding coverage for towing and storage to certain policies.
The bulletin clarifies that insurers are not required to add towing and storage coverage to policies mid-term. Insurers are only required to provide this coverage for policies that are newly issued or renewed on or after July 1, 2024.
