On June 17, 2026, the North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDOI) issued Bulletin Number 26-B-10  all insurers writing property and casualty insurance in the state, requesting catastrophe reinsurance data for personal lines property policies. 

The data call requires any company that collected premium for homeowners, personal dwelling, or mobile home policies under the jurisdiction of the North Carolina Rate Bureau during calendar years 2025 or 2026, the North Carolina Joint Underwriting Association, or the North Carolina Insurance Underwriting Association to respond. The forms and instructions for completing the data call are available on the NCDOI website, and a link is provided in the bulletin. Responses must be submitted no later than July 24, 2026.
