On July 31, 2026, the Director of the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services issued a Wildfire Emergency Order requiring all insurers to take certain actions regarding claims related to areas affected by the wildfire, and instituting a grace period for premium payment on all insurance policies within the affected areas. This order was extended by 30 days on August 30, 2026.
On September 29, 2026, the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation published a news release extending the effective period for another 30 days to October 29, 2026.
