On May 10, 2024, the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation (DFR) released Bulletin No. DFR 2024-7, reminding all property and casualty insurers of their legal obligation to file underwriting guidelines with the division.

The bulletin provides information about what documents are required to be filed and where to find any exceptions to the filing requirements. The bulletin also adds information regarding Senate Bill 82 (2023) and how insurers must reflect the way in which they address or consider wildfire risk mitigation actions in their homeowners insurance underwriting guidelines and rating plans.
