Rhode Island Issues Auto Body Labor Rate Survey

May 10, 2024 / by AAIS

On May 1, 2024, the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation (RIDBR) issued Insurance Bulletin 2024-5 providing a list of insurers and insurance groups that must participate in the 2024 Auto Body Labor Rate Survey.

Each insurer and insurance group listed in the bulletin must send questionnaires to the Fully Licensed Auto Body Repair Facilities listed in the two charts posted on the RIDBR website prior to June 1, 2024. After responses are received, the insurers must determine separate and distinct auto body labor rates for each classification of shop, including a separate rate for aluminum if it is applicable. A report must be submitted to dbr.specialreports@dbr.ri.gov no later than September 1, 2024.

Please see Insurance Bulletin 2024-5 for more information about the survey and who is required to submit a report to the RIDBR. Any questions regarding the bulletin should be directed to dbr.specialreports@dbr.ri.gov.
