On May 21, 2024, the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) issued Commissioner's Bulletin #B-0005-24 to insurers writing personal automobile and residential property policies in Texas. TDI is issuing the data call to gather information for the HelpInsure.com website.

Insurers that meet one of the following criteria are required to respond:

• The insurer is in one of the top-25 national groups and has more than $1 million in direct written premium in Texas; or
• The insurer is in one of the top-25 national groups, has more than $1 million in direct written premium in Texas, and issues and processes business through a nonaffiliated company.

TDI will notify insurers via email if they meet the above criteria and are required to respond to the data call. All other property and casualty insurers are encouraged to participate, but it is optional for companies that do not receive the notification email from TDI. Responses to the data call are due by June 21, 2024, for rates effective June 1, 2024.
