Texas Issues Data Call for Disallowed Expenses

On August 28, 2023, the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) issued a data call for disallowed expenses. The data call applies to companies that wrote premium in 2022 for 14 different lines of insurance including the following:

  • Fire
  • Allied Lines
  • Private Crop
  • Farmowners Multiple Peril
  • Homeowners Multiple Peril
  • Commercial Multiple Peril
  • Inland Marine

The data call reporting form is to be completed and submitted no later than September 29, 2023. The TDI also requests that any data, documents and information used to complete the data call response be kept for at least two years after the submission of the data call. 

 

Directions on how to complete the form, name the form and a link to the form can be found in the Commissioner's Bulletin as well.
