On June 5, 2024, the West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) issued West Virginia Insurance Bulletin No. 24-04, addressing consumer inquiries regarding recent premium rate increases, particularly in home and auto insurance.

The OIC points out that they do not propose home or auto insurance rates and that consumers should ask their company or agent to explain the cause of the increase.
