On January 22, 2026, the Wyoming Department of Insurance (Department) issued Bulletin No. 01-2026 to all insurers to rescind previous notifications that certain lines of business were exempt from identified provisions of the insurance code.

The bulletin states that there are no longer any non-competitive insurance markets in the state, and as a result, all previously identified exemptions from provisions of the insurance code are withdrawn. All insurers who wish to do business or continue to do business in the state must comply with all applicable provisions of the Wyoming insurance code and Department regulations. This went into effect on the date of the bulletin, January 22, 2026.
